Randy has a great point. 365 gay really needs to pick ad choose it’s words and columnists more carefully. I really get the feeling that the editorial mindset on this site is about 5-10 years ago…or mid-western. It’s hard to tell the dff sometimes.

That’s a good example of a similar message being posted on this site under different names.

As to the writer’s insinuation that Newsom “was just using us to further his own political aspirations,” just ask yourselves this question. Which serves a politician’s aspiring career aspirations: to promote unpopular positions, or to promote popular positions? When Newsom first supported gay marriage, it was not a popular position, to put it mildly, and it’s still not. His political stance was obviously a potential career killer.

Ya know guys(and gals)as much as I truly admire this guy I do have to step back and ask myself if this dude campaigned for our marriage rights only because he was looking to further his own political aspirations. As much as I really and I mean REALLY want to embrace this guy as one of our supporters my paranoid questioning other half has to wonder if there truly wasn’t some other “ulterior” motive going on here. Did he really intend to help us or just use us a convenient rung on his upward political ladder? Something to think about before tossing ourselves at the feet of this supposed gay messiah!

Mr. Newsome married my sister on November 3rd, in his office. We were very & proud that he was able to marry them. He is a wonderful man, and I just want to say thank you from the De Raddo family

This makes me so sad. I thought that people were kinder, and wiser, in this modern day. ..It will come, it will happen.

Gavin Newsom is one man, here in my city of San Francisco. Every one of us has it in us to be as heroic as he. Just imagine what we can accomplish as one group, one community!

Politics is about money. I’m surprised no one has called for a boycott of california products. There are people all over the country who support gay marriage and it would seem in our current economic climate that many of the apologetic, yet inactive, California politicians might be inspired to action and start listening if they saw their political coffers shrinking.
