Great video, but they forgot to mention a key fact about Judy Garland that many young LGBT’s aren’t aware of – that Judy died coincidentally during the Stonewall riots, and as a result “Over The Rainbow” was being played all over the airwaves, which is how the rainbow became a major symbol of the gay rights movement.

Yay Martin Duberman! Hidden From History (1989) is a great book about gay and lesbian history, and certainly opened my eyes back then.
