What has the LGBT community learned from the expensive fight over Prop 8? Oscar winners Sean Penn, Dustin Lance Black, and leaders of Equality California help frame the debate for the next round. Craig Fiegener reports.
Speaking of California’s supreme court decision, does anyone know when Iowa’s decision on Varnum v. Brien is supposed to be issued? Hasn’t it been 90 days already or do they have different deadlines?

No, Iowa’s Supreme Court doesn’t have a 90 day window; the best legal guess here is that a decision will be given sometime around May or June.

How come parents against gay marriage are not upset that their sons and daughters can be taught about having domestic partnerships with the same-sex? They are ok with that?
And if you allow domestic partnerships, what’s next? Multiple partner domestic partnerships?
That’s ok?
Or someone have a domestic partnership with their cat or dog?
Also the No on Prop8 failed because it was non-existant in California. I constantly saw Yes on Prop8 ads on tv, heard them on the radio and even saw online ads.. I NEVER saw such advertising in regard to No on Prop8, except on the night of the election. It was a very badly done campaign.
