Gay Payday
Americans donate millions to not-for-profit LGBT groups, and leaders of those groups deliver star power and political muscle to get their voices heard. What’s the cost of that leadership? A new report says many CEOs make a healthy six-figure salary. 365 talks with the leaders, the stars and everyday Americans about this revelation. Ross Palombo reports.

We paid Jeffery Kors $ 171,000 to botch the NO ON 8. I want to throw up. I donated money I did not have. I work as a food server and an artist. I think perhaps they did not do all they could to keep their jobs. It just makes me sick. Jeffery should have had someone debate the Yes on 8 folks, when they wanted to. Also we should have shown loving Gay couples or even actors as loving Gay couples that need the legal protection marriage provides. Then I think about Harvey Milk doing all he could in the day because he cared about the cause.

My husband and I each receive $1000/mo in disability payments. That’s our total income. We live in SoCal. Our rent in a lower middle-class neighborhood in San Diego is $1500/mo.
Do the math.
We gave $200 to No On Hate. We don’t have any more to give.
How much did these obscenely-overpaid executives give?
The GRASSROOTS, UNPAID campaign AFTER Prop Hate passed got more done than all the “establishment” gay orgs put together.
WHAT A RIP-OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Put quite simply, ALL these people take paycuts or they loose my donations. This will be my response to all requests for donations, and until I hear that they have done so to a paycheck I feel reasonable, the buck stops in my own pocket. Enough is enough.
