Married couples in Massachussetts say they’re being unfairly penalized by the federal government’s Defense of Marriage Act. We talk with the widower of former Congressman Gerry Studds, whose marriage is not recognized at the federal level and thus he is not able to collect Studds’ congressional pension just like any other surviving spouse.
