Voices from the floor: Christine Quinn

What is the most important issue for GLBTs in New York City?
Gay marriage. It’s important for equality and protection for our families. And we’re in striking distance, with theĀ tremendous leadership of the Assembly and our remarkable governor.
What has been your best moment of the convention?
I came in late, the lights were down. And the tribute video to Senator Kennedy was on the screen. The place had a hue to it, a feeling – it took your breath away.
Is this convention gay-friendly?
Oh, yeah. There are more gay events on the schedule than I can go to. And Ted Kennedy made a point of mentioning gay people, which always makes a difference.

…and Michelle came to the HRC GLBT Lunceon today…. Hillary didn’t.
Oh THAT Christine Quinn. That racist [woman]. Everybody in New York knows she is openly gay they also know she is openly racist.
Laura,
I edited your post. Took out the b-word.
Sincerely,
James
