I suppose some people feel the need to attack others for their opinions, but I stand by my words …Obama will do good things for the gay community and Steve’s throwing 500 bucks towards a cause that had no back bone or presenceis of no merit. Apathy killed prop 8!

I just wrote to my senators and rep as well as Pres. Obama on reversing DADT. Obama does have a LGBT representative on staff as I recall. This person can certainly go to the hill and talk it up. I don’t know if there is a buzz going on behind the door or not, but there are many on staff who can do the footwork on this.

Wrong, BRUCE. Obama has somehow managed to start working on the issues important to plenty of other groups, including pro-choicers and advocates of stem-cell research. The “he’s too busy” excuse is just that–an excuse.

And as a non-California who contributed $500 to No on 8, I resent your blame-gays-first self-hatred.

Incase any of you didn’t know there is a huge economic crisis happening globally.
Obama has other things on his agenda and over time I believe he will right many of the wrongs that6 are upon you Americans

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said today that Obama’s Secretary of the Army nominee Rep. John McHugh (R-NY) agrees with the President that Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell should be ended — in the year 2109.

But, perhaps in hundred years, that may be still too optimistic a goal. Cyborgs and Robots will be serving openly on the battlefields before the tens of thousands of patriotic Gays and Lesbians in the military are allowed to be who they are.
