I bet that NY will not legalize same-sex marriage - the same thing is going to happen in 2009 as it did back in 2007:

Passed the Assembly,
Failed in the Senate

THERE IS STILL NOT ENOUGH VOTES YET!!!!!!!!

So there are 32 in the Senate (Democrates) is that correct?????

IT WILL FAIL - THAT IS NOT ENOUGH,
you need at least 44 Democrates I think.

America is slowly waking up and realizing the lives of people. Skinheads/KKK are slowly putting down their Swastikas and realizing Black people are not different than anybody else. Finally America voted for a Black President and the first president to support gay rights. Acceptances are increasing and more states are legalizing same-sex marriages. Predicting by year 2012, America will be more open minded to gays/lesbians and California, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Philadelphia & Maryland will all have same-sex marriages legalized by then. More good things are coming on the way.

It is sad that every day we have to fight for basic rights and not know from day to day what they will be. To be given rights then have them taken away does at any point in time does not seem very American. If we tried to take back the right for women to vote or bring back segregation there would be a huge stink but it is OK to play with the lives of the LGBT population. Our families NEED stability. My home state of Ohio, had us on the list of anti-discrimination then removed us. Now they are working on putting us back. If they don't it will be like saying it is OK to discriminate. How much of the back and forth will we have to go thru before something or someone snaps?
