Writer Lucian K. Truscott IV was on his way to the Lion’s Head bar – a few doors down from the Stonewall Inn on June 27, 1969 when he stumbled upon the birth of the modern LGBT rights movement. I am so proud of all the people who in 1969 got fed up and fought the cops. It makes me feel proud to be gay. This story really brought me to rember were pride started.
