I am so sorry to hear about ur son…. But the more i hear of hate crimes like thise the mader i get… I am an out gay man and i let it be known that i am who i am and that i am not afread to let it be known… And i stand up for gay rights and for gays ever were we have the right to live just like every one els and i stand up for ur son…I may not know him but i do know what its like to get the shit beat out of me cause i am gay but it has only made me stonger……. I in heart stand with u and hope that u get justice for what has happend to u.

My mistake, Jorge. I cannot help it but live in fear. Society sees us as another nation/religion/breed altogether. As we fight for rights of certain recognitions are we protecting ourselves?

I have many friends in the gay community, and I also have family members who are gay. As a straight woman, let me be the one to tell you that gay men are truly loving, caring people. They make great friends! They have opened up to me and made me a part of their family. I might not agree with everything they do but I respect them as they respect me. The gay community is really non-aggressive, they are careless, happy people trying to find a place to fit in!

Very sad case. I hope justice is served. This reminds me of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming. Teens fall prey and are the most vulnerable.
