Some (fat) people should not wear certain t-shirts.

Let’s say you are a little pork chop (if you are insulted by fat jokes move on, Boo. Move on). Let’s also assume as a bigun, you need a motorized cart to get to the potato chip aisle. If these things are true, it seems prudent your big booty should not be wearing a t-shirt with homophobic crap.

The above pic was taken from the bestest internets site People of WalMart. The photo of “too fat to walk Mr. Homophobe” was taken in Nebraska. As a rule I care little about sartorial choices, but the clothes of my large clan do bring pause. Lycra bike pants are terrible for those with ham hock thighs, and bigoted t-shirts should not be worn by those with too much blubber to defend themselves.

What unnerves me though is that this handicapped butterball, too lazy to even walk, got up one morning and thought it would be nice to wear an anti-gay shirt. Doesn’t he have family who can give him advice? We know he has no friends. Who would want to freely associate with such a little disgusting roly-poly?

I’m sure husky man is never online (his fingers are too chubby to type), but if you are out there, drop by and explain yourself sir. Ex-gay? Bitter over love lost? Sodomized by your best high-school friend—he was the star jock of the school—and loved it so much you freaked out? And what’s your favorite potato chip? I’m guessing Ruffles (which is a good choice).

Kendra Konrady was placed in a headlock by 66-year-old anti-gay Omaha resident William Crilly.

(Omaha) A Kansas City woman was assaulted during Omaha’s Pride Parade earlier in the month reports the Pitch. Kendra Konrady was placed in a headlock by 66-year-old Omaha resident William Crilly after she threw Human Rights Campaign stickers at the man’s float.

Konrady had travelled to Omaha as a volunteer for the Human Rights Campaign. She had been walking along the parade route passing out stickers when she saw Crilly’s float. The man had a rainbow colored wagon with a banner on it saying “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord.”

Konrady was attacked after she threw several stickers with the HRC emblematic equal sign on them into Crilly’s float.

“He had me in a head lock and I was kind of flailing,” she said. “I’m a pacifist through and through, but this dude just attacked me.”

Crilly was arrested for assault following the incident. As news spread of the event, parade goers flocked to the HRC’s booth, which signed up 159 new members following Konrady’s attack.

Nebraska's rules for licensed psychologists could change because of concerns about potential conflicts between religious convictions and sexual orientation.

(Lincoln, Neb.) Nebraska’s rules for licensed psychologists could change because of concerns about potential conflicts between religious convictions and sexual orientation.

Jim Cunningham of the Nebraska Roman Catholic Conference says psychologists and other licensed therapists should be able to refuse to treat or refer clients because of the counselors’ religious or moral convictions.

But psychologist James Cole told regulators that such a rule could open the door for discrimination as long as a therapist claimed a religious conflict. Cole represented the Nebraska Psychology Association at a recent hearing on the proposal.

Photos and Carrie Prejean? Yawn!

This will earn me no love, but that’s okay. Mr. G likes me (at least I hope so). I understand why people are out of sorts with Carrie Prejean, Miss California. Her answer about same sex marriage and subsequent poster child status for the National Organization for Marriage grate. I still don’t get why anyone cares about what comes out of her mouth, but to this day I’m still unsure why Madonna is famous. I humbly accept my minority status on this topic (and the Madonna thing too).

Yet the whole Prejean “racy” photos saga leaves me befuddled. Sure if you are a fundie throwing out the line about “protecting marriage” from those nasty gays, it makes sense to be disappointed at little Miss Prejean. You loved her pluck, vision, and strength against that ruthless gay mafia. Wanted your daughters to be like her (possibly with a few more books under their belts), and your sons to marry her. Then she goes out and ruins the myth with those “nasty” pictures. Makes a person with morals clutch her pearls and wonder if anything is true and pure.

So fundie anger adds up. Anyone else getting bent out of shape is beyond me. Last August we covered the hullabaloo about two University of Nebraska wrestlers who posed for Fratmentv.com. Both guys were booted off the team and most of the people leaving comments here took the school to task for making it such a big deal. A fair point I thought, but if it applies to the wrestlers what about Prejean? Could the difference be because they were cute and didn’t say anything controversial?

I’m not in the mood to defend her this morning but I will say this. You want to dog Prejean out for her views on gay marriage, have at it. But getting funky because of photos is a weak and tired game, especially if you weren’t doing the same for former Cornhusker athletes.

PS: unless it comes out that Prejean is the illegitimate love child of Billie Holiday and Dom DeLuise (RIP brother) you will not be subjected to my yammering about her anymore. This is a good time for my religious readers to hit their knees and thank their Maker.

One of two University of Nebraska wrestlers dismissed from the team after posing naked for a gay pornography site has left the school.

(Lincoln, Nebraska) One of two University of Nebraska wrestlers dismissed from the team after posing naked for videos and photographs on an Internet gay pornography site has left the school.

The Associated Press reports that Paul Donahoe has transferred to Edinboro University in Pennsylvania.

Donahoe and fellow wrestler Kenny Jordan were dropped from the team three days after a blog posted images of them taken from Fratmentv.com, a web site featuring naked or partially clothed male athletes.

The Scarlet Project, a blog that touts itself for reporting “news, scandal and gossip” at the university, posted the pictures online but altered them so that they didn’t show full nudity. The blog reported that they were obtained from an anonymous person.

At the time, assistant athletic director for compliance Josh White said Donahoe and Jordan were declared ineligible because they violated an NCAA rule that prohibits athletes from appearing in pictures for commercial use.

Donahoe won the Big 12 championship at 125 pounds in 2008 and placed third in the NCAA tournament after winning the title the year before.

The NCAA must reinstate Donahoe before he can compete in the future.

A senior, Donahoe, would not be eligible until the second semester Edinboro coach Tim Flynn said in a statement.

Jordan, a junior 133-pounder, was fourth in the Big 12 and failed to place at nationals this past season. He has not indicated if he plans to transfer or remain at the university.
