That along with the high grease and the high salt and the high sugar of fast food is why McDonald’s etc. are health disasters. Sure it tastes good, that why we crave it! We’ve been numbed to good nutrition since early childhood and trained to want high salt, high fat and high sugar and McDonald’s, Campbell Soups with its frighteningly high salt intake (which is why I make my own soup to circumvent Campbell’s unhealthfully high levels of salt/sodium per can. Even the “lighter” on salt soups are still 480 mgs of sodium per can!

But here the point is that even the trash drink companies(Pepsi) and the trash food companies (McDonalds etc)
and makers of excessively salty soups (Campbell) have their hearts in the right place (while their foods and drink make us less healthy) by advertizing with the gay community’s papers and magazine.

They don’t imagine themselves as part of a “culture war” (lingo used by AFA to intimidate companies into bending to its will), they see their gay employees and customers as merely part of the diversity of what makes up this country.
They know that the gay market is a good and sizable market since fewer gay people have kids to funnel most of their disposable income into or by the other side of the coin is since about a quarter of gay couples are adopting kids these days, they have a ready made customer base made up of gay couples and their kids and that the kids will grow up to be comsumers of their products.

One message to these gay-friendly companies is: resist the AFA. The AFA is like hoodlums going from car to car jiggling handles to see which car is the easiest to break into. IF all companies closed ranks and refused “entry” so to speak to the AFA (via threatening or manipulatively worded letters about how “unfriendly to families” the company is all the while disparaging gays and their families)if all the companies closed ranks and not one company yielded to AFA, AFA would have to slink off into a corner and piss and moan to its readership. All it takes is just one company to turn “scaredy cat” and AFA touts, ballyhoos and boasts mightily of its victory while its victim tries to “save face” and AFA meanwhile goes onto browbeat the next company to see who else will bow to its will.

McDonalds with its huge national and international clientele getting unhealthy on its junk food had nothing to fear from AFA. It could have just ignored AFA and AFA could pretend victory of sorts and BS about it how well it did over McDonald’s and just go onto to a more malleable company with fewer guts that it could more easily push over.

McDonalds with its high fat and high salt along with caving into AFA is why I have 100% ditched McDonald’s. I refuse to enter there to eat even as a last resort just because it caved into AFA. I now carry food in my car to avoid McDonalds if traveling and far from a town. One can last hunger wise, sugar and protein-wise and calorie-wise for a while on a bag of mixed peanuts and dried fruit and thumb one’s nose at every McDonalds one passes even it were the only eatery around for miles.

I wrote the AFA to express my intent to inform my representatives in Congress that I do not approve of the AFA’s unpatriotic agenda aimed at undermining civil rights advances for the GLBT community and undermining the health (mental and physical) of today’s youth (straight and gay).

Write to the ATA. But first, read and analyze the drivel on their website and you’ll quickly realize the ATA founder and his mignons are obsessed by sex and power. They are so transparent.

Kudos Cambells for sticking to your guns. You provide good food for so many people.
