As a young kid in my late teens I worked in a day care in central Maine. It was the coolest day care I have ever worked in. I later found out that 3 of the 5 teachers were gay. Later in my early twenties, I worked in a day care in Cambridge Massachusetts. What I saw and learned while working there as a temp teacher was that more than half of the teachers were also gay and lesbian. It was the greatest place I had ever worked, to this day some 25 years later. Not only was the director a lesbian, but the teachers were the kindest, and brightest teachers I have ever worked with. At this age, the children were learning some of the most valuable lessons prior to entering the public school system. At the "straight" day cares I worked at I witnessed teachers beating kids, demeaning kids, demoralizing children. I even reported teachers for abuse. I never saw any abuse by the gay men and women teachers I worked with. In my personal life, I never experienced sexual or physical or emotional abuse at the hands of gay role models, but I did, consistently, at the hands of "straight" teachers, etc. I am proud to be gay, bisexual. And I am proud of the knowledge and examples that other gay men and lesbian women around me have offered me. I am so sick and tired of the myth believers, and I just wish that the Catholics and Christians and Muslims, and fundamentalists of all kinds would just keep their perverted religions and views to themselves. That way the world would be a healthier place! Who are they to speak of ethics and morals??? There are many atheists and humanists who have engendered more humanity without believing in some invisible, supposed "GOD"!
What has happened to ex-gays is not that they have gone out into the world and become more loving, they have retreated to their insular dens—nice and safe little homes that fear and religious zealots and fear-mongers have built for them. How, in any way, can that be called "healthy"??

Right On!

If it works for them they should keep it to themselves.

Isn't it funny how most religions esp. the ex-gays accuse the LGBT community of recruiting but it's really the other way around!
