Forget it, guys. We've been screwed again, and no one inside the Beltway really gives a crap. Same as it ever was.

Another march on Washington? Yeah, like that'll make any difference. Chances are, we'll hold it on a Saturday, when no one's in town. Fat lot of good that'll do, just like all the others.

Contact Obama's transition team? You'd do better to pee in the wind.

Carolyn Wagner, I could not agree with you more..... We have work to do.... and we have lost so many brave and beautiful people in this struggle. FIGHT the bastards!

The right wing is who keeps adding fuel to the fires of hatred. Let's all collectively PISS on them and put the fires OUT!

Lets call him what he is a bigot, he is not a Christian because if he was a Christian he wouldn't have attacked us like he did. We must do all we can to prevent such a vile excuse for a human being from receiving such an honor as being part of the presidential inauguration.

For those of you who are justifiably angry, there are things we can do other than just blog angrily at each other.

Let's harness the anger, the energy and the justifiable rage and let's fight for our rights. It's a while away, but let's all show up to Washington June 5th through 14th and March on DC for our rights.

Contacted the so called "change team." The concern? Will we, as parents of hate crime victims will issue a press statement as to how this is such a slap in the face. Been busy supporting families newly impacted by an ever growing number of hate crimes we had not given this thought. We will try to get one out.

This is not to be taken lightly people. Obama has now demonstrated a character trait to all of us and we MUST get organized, work together. This is no longer just the lgbt community he is ignoring, it is the families and friends. Such which is an ever growing group. This is one change that is positive which I have seen over the past 10 years.

We must work together and recruit all who are willing to join us in the ongoing battle to pursue lgbt equality. Not just in marriage, but also in education, housing, parenting and hate crimes.

The most vunerable are the lgbt children. Warren went on about how sexual orientation is a choice that can be cured. Crap, it is religion that is the choice and fundamentalist viewpoints that we allow to have visibility in any forum is enabling those who feel justified to continue this holy war against lgbt people.

Please, please, in the memory of all who have lost their lives to this hate, speak up and loudly. You have my word that I am not the only mother who will do so and have been doing so for many years now.

HRC lost our support years back when they continued their support of a hate crime bill that excludes gender identity. This is the same bill that is floating in Congress.

Well, I just sent a message to the transition team expressing my displeasure on the issue of Rick Warren. Here is the address, in case you feel moved to do the same: http://change.gov/page/content/contact/

Don't be shy about lambasting the idea of Warren at the inauguration. FOCUSED is what we need.

As much as I don't like it, Obama has bigger fish to fry right now than Prop 8. In the first place, Prop 8 is a state issue in California - it is being battled out IN California BY Californians (BTW this is NOT how I see it, it is how it is seen by the political players) Right now, ALL of Obama's attention is focused on the economy. The reason is because of the old adage "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" Our economy effects (actaully) the whole planet.

If we want Obama and his administration to pay attention to US, we need to be louder and more boisterous with the mainstream media. HE basically needs to get kicked in the ass and told to wake up. WE need to supply the kick in the ass by not allowing ourselves to be used like a bunch of stooges for the right.

We need to make sure our battles are focused and well chosen. Being angry helps, but fighting with each other is EXACTLY what the right wants us to do. Don't fall into that trap.
