"Divide and conquer is the oldest political strategy in the world."

So, elaygee, this 60 year "old fart" is not dead yet. Married, actually, to a husband of 33 years. He's 70. Don't push us out of our struggle. Capitalize on including these two old guys.

And, Bob, NCLR fights for your rights and mine - for men, and women. I'm quite satisfied with the heavy lifting they did in the marriage case in California. They do not exclude. They do focus.

No group alone wins in the human "race." United we stand.

Bob - try the Gay Men's Health Crisis, for starters - and then the Transgender Law Center, etc.

This is not a comment about the article but I felt the need to express a point. Why do we have separation in our own family? Why is there an organization named National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR). Do gay men exclude women in their organizations? Is there an organization specifically for gay men's rights? I don't think so and I would find it offensive if there was. Why is it that some lesbians feel the need to exclude their gay brothers? I thought the lesbian separatist movement ended decades ago. We are all in this struggle together!

Unfortunately, Prop H8 is exactly what democracy looks like: the tyranny of the majority. Of all the various LGBT rights outfits, Lambda Legal is by FAR the best and most effective in fighting for our rights; the rights of our minority community. Keep up the good work, Kevin and all the good folks at Lambda. We're proud of you guys!

Kevin,

First, I'm a lawyer; I am admitted in California.

I believe that the only modification in the Marriage Cases opinion made by Prop Hate relates to gay marriage alone. The rest of the opinion, including the part about anti-gay legislation being subject to strict scrutiny is still good law in CA. Is that correct?
