In all seriousness, this looks like a business opportunity. If I was not such a wimp, and lived in the area, I would jump on this. Revenue almost $3 million per year, government contract, very little upfront investment.

Sell The Vatican, Feed The World!

(go ahead Google it, play it in any Catholic church, and watch the heads explode)

Throughout history, the Catholic church has employed any measure necessary to continue and expand its control of believers and non-believers, including The Crusades, The Spanish Inquisition, The Salem Witch Trials, and the church’s missionary conversion and exploitation of all who believed in “evil religions.” Evil, of course, defined as anything non-Christian. In more general terms the church also has a history of opposition to all science, strangulation of any independent thought, and then there’s the church’s misogynistic nature and oppression of women through use of the Eve myth.

However, the greatest and most long lasting method of control has been through the propagation and effective use of fear. The church has always known that the greatest fear of any living organism is the fear of death. The “Great Unknown” which all must face quickly became populated with mythical creatures, Satan, ruling unimaginable places, Hell, for a very long period of time, eternity. The only way to avoid these terrors was to follow church created rules of total control which would then magically transport a person to a wonderful place where none of these things existed and the rewards were unlimited. Talk about Terrorism!

Unfortunately for the Catholic church, very few people still believe in Satan and Hell; and as medical science (Damm all infernal knowledge!) has extended human life spans, even the fear of death is no longer as effective a method of control. For the church to continue to exist and maintain control over its followers, it must have some other enemy to fear or evil to fight. Otherwise, why would you need the church at all?

Fear of gays, lesbians, and trans-gendered individuals must truly be a poor substitute compared with death, Satan and eternal damnation. However, if the 2004 elections taught us anything it’s that, if you need to fire up the church and mobilize the faithful; all you need to do is mix up equal parts of G, L, B, and T then sprinkle a healthy dose of terrorist on top and you have yourself one hell of a Molotov cocktail.

If you read 1 John, you will see that Jesus was in the beginning, before the New Testament.

But let us go to the New Testament.
Jesus told the aduletous woman, that you refer to, to GO AND SIN NO MORE. He judged her,forgave her, but most important, you told her that she could not do that sin anymore.

1 Timothy 1:10 – immoral persons, sodomites, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,

Romans 1:26 – For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural,

Romans 1:27 – and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error.

The Catholic church is following the defintion and decision of separation of church and state. Why don’t you, and stay out of church affairs and keep your secular views out of the church. SEPARATION.
