From the state that brought you not only the tragic murder of Matthew Shepard, but the state where the catholic church tried to warp the jury to get their murderous criminals off scott free.

One of the major enemies of humanity resides in Rome. Allah - are you listening to me? Sometimes the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

If you want another example of religious madness, about 6-9 mos ago, some ultra orthodox members of Parliment in Israel called gays "equivalent to bird flu." This is nothing but a call for extermination of gay people by cousins removed a couple times of those who went up Germany's smokestacks. And those Jews shared the ovens with Germany's gays.

conservative religions should be banished from the face of the earth. And my wife now sees understands what I mean when I said - no way in hell are we going to that accursed land to visit it, a nation that lets these creeps live there. Trade them to the Arabs for Israeli prisoners or whatever.

PS - we are Jewish, though by the end of the year I will join the UU church. I ask that my parents not roll over in their graves.

California Atty General in opposing Prop 8 says that inalienable rights like the rights to life and liberty and not subject to votes. The public cannot vote away inalienable rights.

He has argued that the inalienable rights are pre-constitutional. For example, the Preamble to the US Constitution expressly states that is was written "to secure the Blessings of Liberty," one of the inalienable rights in the Declaration of Independence.

One should note that the constitution does not create inalienable rights, but that constitutions are written to secure the blessings of the inalienable rights. In other words, they exist prior to the constitutions being written. This line of political philosophy protects all individuals including Gay individuals in their inalienable rights which the majority is powerless to vote away.

The Atty Gen's argument is supported by the fact that American is a Republic and not a democracy.

Gays should pay more attention to the California Atty General. The inalienable rights to life and liberty provide a much more solid legal and social basis to protect us as we go about our individual lives.

I think we should propose constitutional amendments in all 50 states that define marriage as a legal union between a man and a woman for the purpose of procreation. Once passed we can all pursue legal actions to invalidate the marriages of those couples who use birth control or otherwise choose not to have children and those that are infertile, including people who have passed their biological childbearing years and refuse to accept treatment to extend their fertility in pursuit of conception. Maybe then people will get it.

Interesting that this state, branded as one of hate and violence, still doesn't get it. With all of the current problems with the economy, health care, and so many others, this state legislator still has time for a hate bill. Incredible!
