My name is Roger Walcker. I live in Downtown Portland. I am "out and proud" by being not only gay, but HIV+. I walked in the 2008 AIDS Walk. Me and 10,000 others gathered at the Pioneer Courthouse Square and walked 3 1/2 miles and earned $300,000 for Cascade AIDS Project. My health is great. I still take my 22 pills a day and will until a cure is found for this damn virus. I have a happy and full life, but there is one thing missing from it, Mr. Right. I want a man who is intelligent, masculine and monogamous. I want a man who is "out and proud" to be gay and HIV+. I want a man who is so secure being just himself that you will never lie or play games with me. I want a man who will give me his unconditional love as I will to him. I want a man who is romantic. I love kissing and hugging and cuddling. There is nothing more sensual than a hot man next to me, holding me caressing me and loving me. And of course, we would have lots of hot, erotic sex. I want a man to grow with, to explore Life and Nature with. I attend the Metropolitan Community Church, the GLBT church at 2400 NE Broadway, each Sunday morning for worship services. They serve Communion every Sunday. I would like love to have my partner and I hold each other and receive communion together with. I want a man who will hold hands and walk together on the Oregon Coast and on the streets of Portland. I attend the Metropolitan Community Church, the GLBT church at 2400 NE Broadway, each Sunday morning for worship services. I live at the Taft Home, 1337 SW Washington St. #320, Portland 97205. My cell number is (503) 710-5815. God Bless you! Sincerely, Roger Walcker (and yes, my last name IS spelled queerly!)

My husband and I will not be marching because our son will be only a few days old on October 11th. We owe a debt of gratitude to everyone who has taken and who continues to take a stand for equality. Without you, our family would not be possible. March On!!!

I'm marching to tell the current administration not to play russian roulette with our rights. Their current defense of DOMA acknowledges that DOMA is discriminatory, and says that discrimination is necessary against activities like incest and pedophilia and gay marriage. This is a dangerous approach that if successful may roll back protections in all areas, not just marriage. To the White House I say that my marriage is just as good as theirs....

Wouldn't it be better for LOGO to cover the event rather than going dark? Mainstream news organizations will probably devote all of 2 minutes to the march if we're lucky.

LOGO has dropped the ball, yet again. I guess I'll tune into Current TV, they might cover it.

I am marching to protect access to my grandchildren. They are my partners daughters kids and if something happens to him I do not want to be left out. If we were married I would have a legal claim to visit from time to time.

p.s. This does not have to be an expensive trip. I found space with a kind gentleman using http://www.couchsurfing.org/
There are many bus/van/carpools forming. the http://www.equalityacrossamerica.org/ web site has a ton of information to make this a very inexpensive trip.
