Welsh teachers to get gay bully training

(London) Teachers throughout Wales will receive special training to tackle homophobic bullying.

The program is being sponsored by the Welsh Assembly and produced by LGBT rights group Stonewall Cymru.

DVDs to help teachers spot anti-gay bullying before it gets out hand will be distributed to schools throughout Wales. Studies have found that homophobia is a major problem in schools throughout the UK.

The campaign is called Spell It Out and augments posters which will go up in schools.

“Some people are gay, get over it,” the posters proclaim.  Stonewall with government backing began using the slogan on billboards earlier this year.

The campaign was put together with the support of teacher unions Stonewall said.

“I urge all schools to use these materials as a starting point to engage young people in classroom discussions to better inform them about bullying of this nature,” said Education Minister Jane Hutt.

“I sincerely hope that these resources, along with Welsh Assembly Government guidelines that will be issued next year, will help towards bringing an end to the victimization of individuals based on their sexuality.”

    • All over the world, good things are happening for gays. But in America, hatred abounds.
Thanks to the readers of Mein Kampf, who sit in the white house, and continue to destroy this nation socially and economically in the name of their mad God of Greed. And allied with one of the worst institutions in the western world, and a few of its spinoffs, who use hatred in God’s name for the same goals – power and money.
