Weekend vigils around US to honor slain gay teens

Vigils will be held on Sunday across the country to honor the lives of Jorge Steven Lopez Mercado of Puerto Rico and Jason “Jaysen” Mattison Jr.

Both teens were brutally slain in separate instances last week.

    • Given the latest information about the nature of Jorge’s death (gender identity/expression related violence) – people should recognize this violence at TONIGHT’s Transgender Day of Remembrance events.

    • All of this is beutiful as far as the prayers we all are sending up on behalf of thesewho have been murdered. However we all must take greater efforts to watch as well as pray. We also begin praying proactively rather than rtroactively.Let us not any longer have the mind set of wating until things become soap and lampshades before we do something about it. May God grant us the grace we need to be aware and remain alive all of the time among all of the people.

    • Ill be in San Antonio at crockett park at 8pm. I would hope who ever is able to to do so, organize something in there home town tomorrow.
