That’s their strategy–they say domestic partnerships are as good as marriage and that same-sex marriages are unneeded, then they try to stop domestic partnerships.

Everything against gays by the christian taliban, and that is exactly what they are, is really the imposition of their religious beliefs upon other people.

It would be nice if the Islamic Taliban paid a visit to some of their churches.

And put the shoe on the other foot.

Though, out of my experience of my monthly debate with a nice guy but real right wing Catholic, I have learned that they are 100% brainwashed, and have an excuse for everything one might say to them. Ultimately ending in God, and “absolute truths.”

They are brainwashed via the terrorism of hell, the tell us all your dirt confession scheme, and the promise of the mythical life after death. Oh if they would only have the guts to send themselves to that “better Place”

Just as the guys who flew airplanes into buildings believed in absolute truths, including that they would go to heaven and get 72 virgins for their pleasure.

They did drop their suit so that they can begin collecting signatures, which I am rather certain they will unfortunately get enough of (121,500.) I am DP’ed in WA and am very disappointed, but not surprised, that we will have to wait until at least November now to gain more of our rights: which will still not be equal but are a step in the correct direction.

This is funny they wont even let us settle for second class citizenship status LOL. I guess they only want us to have one or two unimportant marriage rights instead of all of them or the most important ones, like the word marriage. I love this hypocrisy. It’s too bad the fundie Christians aren’t like the real Taliban, if so our fight would be much easier because most of them would have blown themselves up by now. And by blown I don’t mean quickies in a airport bathroom.

Why are people so hung up on the damned “M” word? Where I live, the constitution was ammended to forbid IT, civil unions, domestic partnerships, or anything remotely similar. That means that Kentucky has NOTHING available. You should feel lucky that you get anything at all. We don’t.

I believe that religious rights people will do anything for a signature. Pay people a dollar, tell them that they’re signing something for a free gift. Tell them that “if they sign this piece of paper that they will get something wonderful. Tell them that they’re signing this piece of paper will help the hungry or homeless. These are the ones that you have to really worry about. They lie, cheat or steal to get their signatures. I don’t trust anyone who is collecting a signature roster. You never know what you’d be signing away.

I do not care what you call it “domestic partnership”, “marriage”, “civil union”, “companionship agreement”, “unregistered cohabitation”, “common-law marriage”, “de facto relationship”, “lover union”, “relationship registory”, “receprical Benefits” – or whatever [SO LONG AS WE GET THE 100 PERCENT SAME AND EQUAL RIGHTS THAT HETEROSEXUALS CURRENTLY HAVE]. Also I fully agree keep them talking and “distract” them away for the signatures until July 26. No wonder why I am an athiest, these bigoted people just don’t step aside and “FORCE THEIR NAZI HATE MONGERING BIGOTED 1920s SICK BELIEFS ONTO OTHERS” – no thats just wrong in a country were it is wait for it – called a democracy [IT IS CALLED EVERYONE SOULD HAVE THE EXACT SAME LEGAL EQUALITY AS EVERYONE ELSE]!!!!

Also one more thing – there is SUPPORT in the community for domestic partnerships on the “west coast” [OR, CA and WA] – not marriage.

It is 2009 people – not 1929!!!!!!!!!
