Screwed again, Vermont gays–get ANGRY !!

Hi, Rick,

We do not feel "screwed again", we had the first in the nation Civil Union law and are now poised to have marriage equality passed by our legislators, another first for the country, we are showing action, not anger.

We are organized and determined. We will win this. Hope Delaware can follow our lead.

This is totally unfair for the people of Vermont. If the Governor there wants to veto the marriage bill for gays, then maybe the people of Vermont needs to replace there Government in not being a kind of Governor that is in Office by the people. Remember people, the law says that you can vote him in and you can also vote him out. So you need to take actions to vote him out, then maybe this time once he sees everyone is so serious that he will accept the idea or he will have to settle for the option of probably being ousted by the same people that made him Governor in the first place.

I watched my mother get married in a courthouse by a judge. There wasn't a single reference to ANY god. Why then was she MARRIED? Why not Civil Unioned? Marriage is clearly a civil status in this country, reserved for the majority only. They can't have it both ways

Gov. Douglas is nothing but an old ninny. It's time for him to go bye bye to Florida with the rest of the old bigots. My partner and I are moving to Vermont so there will be two more votes against this old butt head.

Shame on Governor Douglas.

Get with CT and MA where marriage equality is supported.

I agree that we should lobby the house and oust James Douglas and any house rep that doesn't get they work for us. Their personal "agenda" does not belong in this forum and further demonstrates all the reasons why they are not effective leaders on many fronts, period.

I just wanted to say that I think that it is really interesting how people think that "giving" the LGBT community civil unions should be enough to make us happy. Seriously! There are still so many limitations with that too. If 2 people love eachother and truly want to spend the rest of their lives together then why does the government think that they should have say in that? I just think that there are so many more important issues in the world then to be concerned about that. I mean, let's raise these children right, let's educate them and ourselves, can we end this war? The list goes on and on.
