Actually the French Quarter with all the “QUUERS” was the primary place that was spared from Katrina….So… Who’s side was the God’s hands….Go God Go God.

So why would a hurricane hit New Orleans because of homeosexuality and not San fransisco? After all San fransisco has one of the greatest populations of gay and lesbians. Why havent we had an earthquake or all hell braking loose in Coneticut or Massachusets because of gay marriage? In the 10 comandments it states “thou shall not kill” yet the church has no problem fighting wars! The church is a joke and makes a mockery of God.

New Orleans was never intended to a permanent settlement, it was going to be temporary.

It is logical that those buildings that were built on high ground and not on lcw ground would survive. God did not put any of the churches, etc on low ground, man did. If the reverse were true and all the “red light” district were in the vulnerable low area and the churches were in high area, the churches would have survived. but this was not originally intended to be a permanent town even though for better of worse, it bacame one.

I was a non-church goer for almost 30 years of my 55 years. I realized that atheism was not my cup of tea and I have been a happy member of a
liberal gay welooming church for 9 years that has a focus on meeting hunger and other needs.
I am now going to take a delivery of food from our church to the food pantry of another church that has a program for feeding the hungry.
Everyone is on their own journey in life and just as church is not for everyone, atheism isn’t for everyone either.

I was going to point out what others have already done: far more churches were destroyed in Hurricane Katrina than gay bars. Who do you think God loves? This article just shows how much a doctorate from “the prestigious Gregorian Pontifical University in Rome” is worth. If its graduates are as stupid as this new bishop, its “prestige” is yet another delusion they embrace.

It also destroyed the churches of catholics, temples, and synagogues… the houses of the faithful and the faithless; priests and lay persons alike. They shouldn’t give away doctorates in mythology… ahem.. theology to ranking idiots just because they have been somewhere for a few years. Really people… gods retribution? and what of the tsunami that occurred recently… were those poor people homosexuals and sexual deviants as well? Pulpits are no place for misanthropes hate mongers and morons. natural disasters are no more the hand of the christian god then they are the Roman gods tempests… grow up!

When are people going to wake up and stop promoting these bigoted houses of worship.They call each other intolerant wrong on their beliefs when they believe the same the Catholic is one of the worst covering up child molestation for decades yet these people still go and support if you want to worship your God you certainly don’t need a building to do it
