I am sick and tired of the obvious lack of historical knowledge. Sure the "Church of England" was established in 1534. However, there was a thriving Christian community in Britain long before Augustine "Catholicized" the country. And - the present-day Church of England/Angican Church is Protestant Church - not a breakaway Catholic Church as many seem to think.
Now - the matter at hand. The actions of this Pope and the Roman Chuch have angered many Anglicans that I know. They should mind their own business. And why set up an Apostolic Constitution? If anyone wants to convert, let them go all the way and become catholics!

A couple of quick points. First, the Catholic Church is not just the Roman Church but 23 others that are in communion with the Pope.

Second, in most of the Churches that are part of the Catholic Communion men can be married before ordination. Therefore, Anglicans that choose to join one of the Eastern Churches will not need special permission to be married.
