Jennifer Vanasco,
It's high time for those in the journalism and news business to start discovering the term marriage equality. Instead of gay marriage or same-sex marriage. It's equality for all not a "special right just carved out for gays" as some may claim.

Matt87,
I refuse to speculate, to be either positive or negative or to go on feelings or emotions until the voting is over on Thursday. That is pointless and a waste of emotional energy needed for later until the actual outcome is actually in the news by the next day Friday.

I call on NJ GLBTs and on their allies to rally and be seen and heard also on Thursday outside of the NJ statehouse in Trenton. If the outcome does mirror NY then I call for protests in Trenton just like in Albany. Not taking it lying down and wringing one's hands.

Again it the gutless ones in NJ assembly should have to look for another job after NJ election day if they fail to do their job for the public good. And the number of future candidates for equality be they gay or straight must increase. And the number of openly gay and lesbian and progressive-thinking candidates for office in the NJ statehouse must increase for the good of the public and for the future of that state. Same for NY State as well.

There is no reason why NY can't be both scenically beautiful in so many parts of the state and advance the lives of all its citizens at the same time. Inequality has got to go.

I have a nasty feeling that this will go like New York. Of course I believe this is inevitable, but who wants to wait for justice? The nation will realize the sin of separate-but-equal before long.
