Given that the US military openly recruits ex-felons, gang members and white supremacists it’s not quite a stretch to believe something like this can happen. Having said that I really don’t want to believe unless and until there is valid proof of these atrocities.This person by the name “Hussam” could have a bone to pick with the US military. I would if a foreign force invaded my country.

As an American and human being, I really hope this isn’t true. It can’t be.

Americans live in denial about their government. This is the Fourth Reich: Nazis from Germany were snapped up by the CIA and together they developed policies involving torture, execution, extraordinary rendition, nation building, and the barely muted hysterical tenor of this fascist state. Grow up, people, and accept the reality of abusive, extremist, rogue behavior on the part of the US government.

Let’s see now, we “liberated” Iraq to bring democracy to the Mideast? Gee, I always thought that it was the essence of a democracy that all people have the same rights. I can understand that those who strictly embrace Sharia law might look down on (even, possibly, punish) the sexual minorities. But we “liberators” are supposed to be above such things. Guess not. What business do we have replacing despotism with a democracy that allows only some of the people to have human rights?

I know that 365.gay reporters are not exactly swimming in journalistic cred, but this is *not* the way to break a story that could prove to be as explosive and damaging to U.S. foreign relations — a story with no notable sources, two “unnamed” Iraqis — and no real ability to independently verify the veracity of their claims. 365.gay editors should think more cautiously before putting things like this on the internet; this smacks of amateurish journalism for sensationalist web traffic.

I don’t find it unbelievable at all. Our soldiers have already treated prisoners inhumanely. We have already seen the cases where they have raped and murder young Muslim women. Knowing that our soldiers are capable or committing such acts against those people is it really so hard for us to believe that they could make the jump to committing such atrocities against gays? People that can’t believe something like this could happen put too much faith in humanity.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this were true…they were only following orders! I know of a wonderful U.S. Marine who had been stationed overseas and was ordered to slaughter unarmed civilians. This so traumatized and haunted this young man that he committed suicide when returning to the States.

dear God, let’s hope we can prove this isn’t true. Tell me some small-minded, neanderthal military guys from the US military didn’t do this. I hope not. I pray not (and I’m not religious. I give them more credit than this.
