I’ve been saying it for years. Georgia has a far worse reputation than it deserves. And Florida has a far better reputation than it deserves. As far as southern states go, Georgia isn’t that horrible for homosexuals. I know the bar isn’t set particularly high. And Georgia’s certainly no match for the liberal Northeast and West Coast. But still…

Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin is staunchly pro-gay. Georgia was only one of three southern states – along with Tennessee and Arkansas – that didn’t have a sodomy law at the time Lawrence v Texas was decided in 2003. There’s no ban on gay adoption. And Atlanta has an anti-discrimination law which hasn’t been repealed by the voters. Which is more than we can say for Miami.

Attention editors. Am I the only one who doesn’t understand what you’ve written? So she lost but the winner still sued her? And why would the winners sue to invalidate her loosing? The quality of writing on this site is the pits.

Uhhhh, Dave you must not be very familiar with the Great State of Georgia. If you look at Metro Atlanta (a city of 5 million people) we have one of the largest gay populations in country.
