Now I understand why conservative Christians are so against having gay couples represented on the national census. They don’t want people to learn that we are just as boring and ordinary as straight people.

No, kidding. Yes, my partner and I are about as boring as the rest of married America. We’ve already raised kids who are now out of the house, and grown. The nearest thing to a special lifestyle is our penchant for a good round of golf every Sunday when the weather cooperates. Somehow I think the Yes in Maine people wouldn’t like the contents of this studies findings!

To think that there isn’t enough time to change a simple questionnaire that would count us in the national census NOW (when we need to be counted) is insulting and proposterous. I think this issue needs to be forced so that we have a better handle on the number of people being openly and legally discriminated against by the various governing bodies of our great land.
