It is the southern religious condemnation of homosexuality that led him to become the closeted, self-loathing individual that he eventually became coupled with, what I believe, was a basic individual weakness of character. I am glad that he is going to be put away for life and will no longer be a threat to the vulnerable, young, at risk men of this area. I knew this guy slightly many years ago.
