The hypocrisy is staggering. There is a commandment against adultery. One of the Ten COMMANDMENTS! And yet even though loving someone of the same sex is condemned again and again by the religious hypocrites, is mentioned as an abomination on the same page as eating shellfish being forbidden. But they forgive the breaking of a commandment. How do they have ANY credibility?

I disagree with your last sentence, because it exonerates people who are perfectly able to make rational decisions for themselves, but when they commit an atrocity, or are caught in a lie, too many of them are quick to blame and not take responsibility; we’ve seen this time and again, particularly from the right wingers.
I’m all for holding their feet to the fire; enough is enough.
Since Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, all the way thru Jimmy Swaggart, Ted Hagard, etc., they’ve all pleaded that they were either possessed or some other bullshit, rather step up and admit that they’re lying hypocrites.
I’m tired of the “free pass” while we have to roast our asses at the back of the bus.
These people are not qualified to judge me.

If Ensign really believed in traditional marriage, he would be faithful in his own marriage– and demand the repeal of DOMA which makes it more difficult for same-sex couples to build faithful and successful marriages.
