Maybe the people that sent those letter are thinking the same thing, That gays are to blame for the war, for the promblems that ‘we’ when i say that, i mean gays and not gays, are faceing in the united states.

Fear makes men think that there needs to be someone to blame, It was the blacks at one point, and now it has changed to the gays, Now me and my partner may not be right and im not saying that we are, But i have to say that is what we are thinking.

As to your other point — about the not-so dearly departed Reverend “Rot-in-Hell” Falwell and his evil clone Mini-mean, Rev. Warren — I agree with you. I am also very perplexed as to why Obama pulled that fat, pontificating, gerbil out of his own skinny posterior and why he is now trying the shove the very same self-righteous rodent up the collective ass of America.

The only history Obama has made so far (beyond the novelty of his pigmentation) has just been to set-up his own administration to be just another offensive urban legend. The story this time is about a half-Black man who once made pretty speeches to Gay people who, in turn, all metaphorically woke up the next day in a bath tub full of cold reality and lying half submerged in ice with their hearts, hopes and dreams ripped out of them.

You are right. There are so many issues even on 365 that one would think make MSNBC reels but we seldom have a voice network news or most any cable channels other than LOGO.

I wonder how much time would be given in the news if Warren’s church was threatened or the Church of the Crazy Underwear…Oh I meant the Mormon Church. Had been hit.

Speaking of Warren, I was so happy when Jerry Falwell kicked. Any belief in God that had diminished was restored. I thought God does have a sense of humor, knocking that irritating fat ass off just before the campaigns really got rolling. Now “this” right wing creep (Warren) rears his ugly head. There is something about this guy that could pass for Falwell’s first cousin, even kinda looks like him.

To murder another person’s spirit; to attack another person’s family for simply existing, and to destroy their security and their freedom is a slower and more painful death, it seems to me, than many other kinds of terrorist attacks. But that is the perpetual state of our existence in USA, we, the GLBT community, have been under unrelenting terrorist attacks for nearly the last four hundred years in this country — from colonial days to the present.

There have never been a shortage of people in the US who desire to destroy GLBT citizens. Some want to do it quickly with direct violence against one or a few at a time. Others, like Warren and millions of other assassins like him, exploit mindless fears and pervert the law as their weapons of mass destruction — thereby reaping a higher body count of ruined lives.

Who is really more dangerous?

Sadly, I don’t think the so-called “news” media could give a crap either. At the most, the coverage of the mass murder of gays might just receive perhaps a few words in the moving scroll at the bottom of the tv screen during a newscast.

The captions might read:

“Dozens of homosexuals die in ricin attack…FBI may investigate…Congress to look into deaths perhaps next term after addressing the Economy… (JUST IN) Brittany Spears accidentally suffocates pet poodle in handbag…Congress to hold hearings on Animal Abuse…New laws are expected to require breathing holes in large purses for pets; millions nationwide voice their concern…(Update) Another twelve die in ricin attack in homosexual bars; FBI now says it is a local matter…With no federal Hate Crime, Congress says its hands are tied…(Update)… Due to a flood of public outrage, Congress meets in emergency session and passes new laws to require breathing holes in large handbags for small pets…”

It is nothing to joke about, but that is exactly how most people in America treat our lives — either as a big joke or some dangerous vermin infestation to be stomped out. The third kind of reaction to us I sometimes think is even more pernicious — that is, Obama’s attitude: “Ignore them and maybe they will just go away.”
