I agree with what Lincoln said.
The armed services would rather lower their standards than allow GLBT in.

“Ten days before the Provost shooting, Campos was arrested in Imperial Beach and charged with driving under the influence. Campos also faced charges for illicit drug use as well as breaking into another service member’s home where $5,400 worth of electronics, jewelry and a .45 caliber pistol was stolen, military officials said.”

DUI is one thing. But all the other charges are the biggest character flaw in Campos’ life.

This is what the military wants as oppose to a hard working young person.

I still say that ALL GLBT members should come out at one time. That would really screw up the government and put an end to the war.

Campos was a fine example of the criminal, mentally deficient, cowards the armed services get when they would rather lower the bar than have gays in the military. It is sad that Provost had to pay the price.

Another life wasted….

Come on Washington DC, get with it. DADT is doing nothing but ruining lives. Get the military in the same kind of training that they have to go through in order to learn how to behave with people of opposite sex, diversed races, cultures and religions, etc.

We can fight bloody wars, but can’t fight hate, bigotry and intolerance. sad.

Was there any hint of suicidal ideation? Was he already on suicide precautions? If so, he should’ve also been on watch, whether q15, q10, q5, or constant.

I read this as him complaining to his family, not through military channels. That would be quite dangerous to do with DADT in place. A career killer and possibly the door to a less than honorable discharge.

Write your Senator. The military refuses to label this a hate crime.
Even though both parties are dead, tell your Senators to force the military to admit to a hate crime
