Despite the fact that the Department of Justice (which he oversees as part of his administration) has recently compared gay marriages to incest, pedophilia, and bestiality types of relationships.

Oh, and let’s not forget when the prop 8 protests were going on and he went to Beverly Hills, and was confronted by protesters, who told him to keep his promises to the gay community. Instead of dealing with the situation in a mature and professional way, he instead decided to mock the GLBT community in the dinner by saying “What promise?”

By the way, have you read the legal arguments the DOJ has put forward?
