Placing a very high value on free speech is difficult. The Phelps case is the epitome of “difficult.”

Most would argue that it’s worth it to continue to place free speech at a very high priority. If we can force someone “out” or to “shut up,” then that power can be turned against us by people who don’t like us. To be allowed my freedom to that level, I’ll tolerate Phelps.

The whole family should be hospitalized. Go get a copy of the DSM-IV and start your own amateur diagnoses! I’m not sure if it’s behavioral or organic–they’re so fixated that I’m leaning to an organic base.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. For what this creep has done, the army used to have a solution, though I think they were outlawed internationally. It was a tool used to root enemy troops out of caves and bunkers in WWII. It didn’t fire bullets, or exploding projectiles. Maybe God will use the same method he uses in hell to deliver them to hell, the whole family.

I think Fred and Shirley’s funerals should be a great occasion for a huge gay festival. A parade of drag queens feigning Parkinson’s Disease would be a nice start. Maybe we can also lobby to have a rest stop named after him as a memorial. I think everyone will feel the need to take a dump when they get near his grave.

Great, so we all agree that the UK is doing the right think…do not let these bigots that spew hatred and bigotry into your country.

But then they would let the pope in? They would let a catholic american who tithes, knowingly funding bigotry in?

It is so easy to agree that they shouldn’t let in these most vocal and out-there hate mongers, but anyone who gives money to the hundreds of christian cults, from the RCC on down to every one of them (even the ones that pretend to welcome gays, since jesus accepted prostitutes…gee thanks for the association) should be barred.

I bet some people on this blog give money to religion….should you be barred?

Funding hate is just as bad as spewing it. Let’s not stop with the Phelps. All religion’s supporters, including Andrew Sullivan, should be outed for doing the type of hate funding and supporting they do.
