(Toronto) Celebrity blogger and open gay man Perez Hilton alleges that he was assaulted Sunday night by a manager for the hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas after the Much Music Video awards in Toronto.
Toronto police have made an arrest in response to an assault that happened at 3 a.m. in a downtown Toronto club. The victim of the assault, who was not named, suffered minor injuries following the incident, said Toronto Police Constable Tony Vella.Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, took to the social media site Twitter following the incident, making pleas for help and accusing group member will.i.am of performing the assault. Will.i.am, whose real name is William J. Adams, created his own Twitter page to respond to the accusations.
The two have also taken to posting videos on their own respective websites to give their version of the incident. In the video, Lavandeira accuses a manager for the Black Eyed Peas of punching him several times after he had a confrontation with will.i.am.

An assault is an assault. Perez makes his living by writing not so nice things of famous people. Yet, some celebrities take it as the Insult the comic dog thing and just laugh about it or even better, they take advantage of the free publicity.
The Black Eyed Peas are the poor man’s OutKast. They are ok, full of refill repetitive beats music. Will.I.Am went to Perez and demanded not to write about his band. I’m not sure if he understands the implications of this demand. Perez is a bully, the BEP’s are a public figure and anyone can write whatever they please about them. Whatever. That’s the last thing any celebrity should do. Right now all the Perez haters, Chris Brown’s fans and anyone who just enjoys punching people just because “the way they are” are celebrating.
The outcome is this. Perez is suing the manager of the Peas and he has been charged. He could take them to the cleaners if he wants because even though the manager was the one that punched him, that could implicate Will.I.Am too. And now Perez is more famous than before.
Now GLAAD is on Perez case for daring to say the F word. Yet they gave awards to shows like South Park. I don’t know GLAAD and don’t care personally. I like LAMDA, ACLU or even the Human Rights Campaign with their problems are much better. GLAAD has done nothing but counting gay characters on tv and that is not activism, considering that most gay characters are still playing by straights anyway. And to my knowledge I’ve seen so many uses for the f word by gays from events, aids awarness, to bumper stickers so I don’t get the hysteria of GLAAD.
Perez hilton is just annoying, and wants attention, and Wil I.AM is just being excused of stupid crap because perez loves drama and attention hes disgusting and ugly.
Like I said over at Towleroad, what is this, highschool? Since when did bs like this start becoming news. Blogosphere needs to get a life.

It is djiscusting to me how you think that Perez should get the crap kicked out of him regularly. Although I myself cannot stand for Perez either and strongly disagree with how he writes about other peoples life to make a living I would never wish violence on anybody. Although, assault is not a funny matter, I can’t imagine Perez Hilton NOT deserving a solid thrashing. He’s toxic, self-absorbed, has a terrible on-air presence and delivery, and even worse, is a complete embarrassment and detriment to the Gay Community. Simply put, he’s a total waste of Human flesh.
I have watched both Will.I.AM and Perez’s blogs about what happened that night. Both men are at fault! No matter if Will.I.AM was being disrespectful or rude, it was no reason for perez to call him a f**(which is my first problem, why must call people a f** or g**? It is disrespectful to not only the gays in the world today, but also to everyone else because it sends out the message that if celebs are using that word negativly it must be ok). My second problem with this story was that Perez directly assused Will.I.AM of hitting him. Violence is never the answer and no matter who hit him it was wrong. Whether it was his bodyguard or a fan its no excuse. No one should ever get hit but we live in a world where that happens. I truly do hope Perez feels better cuz I am strongly agaisnt violence. My other problem with this is that Perez Twittered about his assult. He claims he called the police, but twittering(which for those of you who dont know is like facebook for celebs) about it is not the right step to take there. It sounds like it wasn’t a cry for help, but a cry for attention. Perez, being the huge celebrity that he is, had to know that MANY people would see his twitter and take some pitty on him. That is my opinon but if he really was just looking for a cry for help, twittering was not the right way to go about that. I am deeply disappointed in both Perez and WILL.I.AM for how they both handled the situation. They both should not have been that disrespectful to one another. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion( aka what Perez does on his blog) and if it offens you, there are other ways to deal with it. So I do hope Perez feels better but to both of them I am disappointed.
I couldn’t pick will.i.am out of a two-person line-up, but I’m his number one fan if his manager did indeed do this. Hilton is a self-absorbed, arrogant pig who deserves every punch she has thrown at her. If there’s any justice in this world, the case (if there is one) would be thrown out of any self-respecting court.
