Palin defends Miss Calif. from ‘malicious’ attacks

(Anchorage, Alaska)  Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is defending Miss California USA Carrie Prejean.

The former vice presidential candidate says in a statement, “The liberal onslaught of malicious attacks against Carrie Prejean for expressing her opinion is despicable.”

Prejean created a stir at last month’s Miss USA pageant when she said marriage should only be between a man and a woman.

Questions about her work with gay marriage opponents and nearly nude photos taken of her when she was a teenager had put her title in jeopardy, but pageant owner Donald Trump decided to let Prejean keep her state crown.

Palin says she respects Prejean for staying true to her beliefs and can relate to her “as a liberal target myself.”

Palin was a runner-up in the 1984 Miss Alaska contest.

    • Is this news?

who is Sarah Palin and Carrie Prejean?

O wait, I remember now, they are both Losers! That’s right.

Wish we did go by old bible laws, so that women like this would be STONED to death, then maybe they would SHUT UP!

    • Does anyone still think Sarah Palin is actually a viable candidate for a Presidential run in 2012? She makes rocks look intelligent. It’s no wonder she sympathizes with a woman who thinks gays and lesbians have a choice between straight marriage and gay marriage in this country. Our own federal government won’t even recognize our marriages yet we somehow have a choice…ROIGHT!

    • I imagine Palin doing Crocker-style: “Leave Carrie alone!!! Why can’t you liberals stop attacking discrimination in the form of free speech?”

    • At this point who really cares about either of them…their 15 minutes are done…and they need to go away, back to their little boring lives, and leave the rest of us alone!

    • Palin? Oh you mean that women Gov from Alaska that was running on McCain’s ticket as a VP candidate and became a target by her own GOP party?
Palin the one who so strongly targeted liberals for having a lack of family values meanwhile professing about her own party’s family values her underage unwed daughter got knocked up?
Palin the one that continually targeted Obama in an attempt to relate him as being a possible terrorist?
Or Palin that targeted herself as she made a total fool of herself during her televised interviews, unable to answer the questions correctly?
Palin, do everyone a favor stop the whining and stop blaming the liberals. The only thing the liberals did was have a good laugh.
One more thing Palin, those opinions that you’re calling malicious attacks from the Liberals towards Miss Ca.’s comments are merely opinions, you know, freedom of expression. Like Miss Ca, we also are entitled to our opinions. Right Palin?

    • Heaven forbid that anyone in a free society should criticize a person with social conservative opinions. Only criticizing persons with liberal or progressive ideas should be allowed in a free society.

One question: Is Sarah Palin for real?!

    • I would like to know how much the state had to pay for Bristol to graduate when she was actually a high school drop out. Or did mom pay. Or was it just because Mom is Governor.

Runner up supports runner up, good job. Lying on application is okay I guess and what about fake boobies?

Palin + McCain + Cheney = losers. My opinion
