It’s quite obvious Ron doesn’t pay that close attention. As far as gun rights go, I live in South Dakota (where we have one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the nation, yet have one of the lowest rates of violent crime). When the campaign came here, Obama specifically said that he only voted to ban handguns in Chicago. Because they have/had a high crime rate. He specifically said that if you own a gun for hunting or “protecting your family” that you had nothing to worry about. Not that I expect you to listen, you sound like every other internet loony out there.

Civil Unions are not recognized by any other country- marriage is. They have been a huge failure in the couple of States that have tried them. Civil Union’s DO NOT give access to most Federal and State benefits, as well as company benefits and all insurance. It’s a strategic attempt to have us fight endlessly, piece by piece for each benefit while labeling us 2nd class. Some things are worth fighting for.

It’s not that he’s against marriage rights. Obama supports Civil Unions for ALL people, gay or straight – leaving the word marriage to be used subjectively by the individuals who wish to define it for themselves.

More lies from Obama! He does not support all American families and his voting record is proof. Obama does not support working families in America, he supports major visa increases, he supports illegal immigration, open borders and amnisty for illegal aliens all of which is one of the leading causes for major increases in unemployment of American working families. If a family owns a firearm for self defense Obama does not support American families to defend themselves. Obama’s policy is massive tax increases and a larger federal government, this means less freedom and more control of your money! How is this supporting all American families? I am becoming increasingly disgusted with the LGBT community. It is clear that the LGBT community has only one issue when it comes to voting for a law maker. When it comes to LGBT issues the federal government has no right becoming involved! When is the LGBT community in America going to stand up for their constitutional freedoms? This election year is doing two things for me, Ready to say I am not proud to be gay and go back in the closet.

Although this is wonderful news; it is going to take much more to get Obama elected. The conservs are going to come out of the wood work and if we don’t match them and show up in droves, we will have another 4 years of hell. WE NEED A MILLION GAY PEERSONS MARCH and shout out enough is enough. My partner and I would love to adopt a child.
