Unjust laws can be used as “fists” too.

Uh huh, lets see how that would work out with a predominately White team in the US refusing to play a predominately racial minority team in America.

Sorry, Gerry, discrimination against entire segments of a population should not be a “right” and should never be considered a “right”. Unfortunately, in these un-United States of America, in some states and in the federal government, that “right” (as you put it) is being used against the 30 million plus GLBT citizens in the US.

Yes, much of that is being challenged in the courts and hopefully will be corrected in the due course of time, but discrimination should never be considered a “right”. The fact that we have Prop 8 in California and so many other restrictions on GLBT civil rights in America is a sad reminder that the “right” to discriminate is just wrong and should never be tolerated in a civilized society.

The problem with heavy handed judgments like this one is that they can be turned around on us at times. Let’s give everyone more space to work though their “stuff” on their own.

The Muslims did no serious harm to the gay team. The gay team got the win (forfeit). Public opinion is against the Muslim team. That should be enough, but nooooooo!

Glad they’re banned. The “terrorist” comment was too far. If that’s true of French Muslims, then why aren’t members of the ultra-right FN (National Front) also described as “terrorists”, since they’re not too far from French version of Tim McVeigh?
