You folks have become what you hate and now you are commiting “hate crimes” yourselves.

I voted no but now I wish I would have voted yes because the way you people are acting. You are hurting your own cause.

I dont buy for a second the mormons bankrolled california. The mormons dont run the state. The make up a very SMALL percentage of voters in California. And these false allegations of the mormon church donating large amount of money when it was their members. Everything they did was 100% legal (whether you like it or not!) where have we heard that before?

Why dont you people take issue with the fact +70% of black people voted yes?

You had to find and easy target because you know they wont fight back like some of the black churches would.

I know you feel the mormons deserve what they get but your not doing yourselves a favor by acting like fools.

Once you take the law into your own hands, that makes you a terrorist.

You ordered your minions to fund a media campaign made of hateful, hurtful, demonizing lies. I call that an EXTREME ACTION. I can maybe understand not wanting to share the term “celestial marriage”, but to use the Anita Bryant/Helen Lovejoy tactic pleading “won’t someone please think of the children!” and use distorted facts of trumped-up mormon lawsuits from MA is despicable. Those lies are the extreme actions, and you sir, are the one who failed to exercise restraint.. Shame on LDS leadership and its lying CA media tool, Pepperdine Prof. R. Peterson. Bless those LDS members like BYU Prof M. Thurston who told the church to stop the lies.

First the Mormon Church spearheads a campaign to take away a civil right from law-abiding, taxpaying Californians. Now, they want to shut down our freedom of speech and right of assembly. As Americans, we did not start this battle. We deplore violence, but we cannot be sure that gay people sent the powder. All we have are the words of a group which used lies to pass Prop. 8. If they lied then, what’s to stop them from lying now? Mormons took away our civil rights, now they whine because they are being criticized. If they can’t stand the heat, they need to get out of the kitchen!

During one of the rallies in Los Angeles I saw a photo of a woman carrying a sign that ready “Marriage is a Civil Right, not a Religious Rite.” Perfectly said! What these groups fail to recognize is that it is not thier Religion that gives them the freedom to worship as they wish, rather it is this Country and its Constitution. Bobby Kennedy said it perfectly as well, “If you don’t stand up to people with power (the masses), they’ll walk all over you” (the minorities). Never Giver Up!

The Mormons need to review the admonition that “as you sow so shall you reap.” They spent 25 million+, according to news reports, to spead lies and hatred about gay people. Hate begets hate. Now, it is coming back to them and they are crying about it. Clean up your act, people—there is nothing Christian about what you have done—spending that amount of funds while food pantry shelves are empty and people are hungry. Shame! Shame!

How can you, in good conscience, denounce protests against a group who worked hard to deny people their civil rights? That’s no different than protesting against the Klan or the Nazi party! Protesting against the Mormons is taking the moral high ground! They must have their tax exempt status revoked!
