(New York) The former Miss California who was stripped of her title last month has a book deal.
Carrie Prejean will publish a memoir called “Still Standing.” Conservative book house Regnery Publishing said Monday that it will release the book.
Prejean believes her crown was taken because she said she opposed gay marriage. California pageant executive director Keith Lewis has said that Prejean was skipping Miss California USA events while speaking out against gay marriage at unsanctioned appearances.Prejean was replaced by the Miss California pageant’s first runner-up, Tami Farrell. Farrell has also said she believes marriage should be between a man and a woman.
Whatever.

I hate to say it, but her book will be a big seller. There’s too many “Christians” out there who will “feel her pain” and believe she was persecuted for being a Christian and speaking her mind. As so her 15 minutes will get dragged into 15 months. She will probably get a job on the Fox News Network after that LOL! Or maybe even the 700 Club!
Actually, the right wing is mainly ignorant people who are finding themselves out of a job because of their support of Bush and his right-wing economic ideology. They ahve precious little money to spend on silly books like this.
What Prejean hasn’t revealed is that it’s a picture book.
I wonder who’s going to be writing this book for her.
The “Dick and Jane” books that we all learned to read from; are thicker in the number of pages to be found than any book she could ever write.
