(San Francisco) The Miss California USA pageant director who became embroiled in a war of words with former title holder Carrie Prejean has donated 30-seconds of free ad time to the state’s largest gay rights group.
Equality California announced Thursday that it would be airing a spot featuring a teenage girl with two mothers during the Nov. 22 contest, which is airing on the CW and My Network TV.Keith Lewis, the pageant’s executive director, says he would give Prejean the same amount of time if she wanted to provide a pre-taped message.
Lewis, who is gay, accused Prejean of violating her contract when she ignored his advice on how to handle the intense publicity after she said during this year’s Miss USA pageant that she was opposed to same-sex marriage.

(shrugs) ok. But what did she say? If she’s in favor of us now that’s great. Another conservative poster child see’s the light.
Or, as one might suspect, she’s playing both sides because her fame is withering.
@365 this, I think you misread the article.
The pageant is donating the spot. NOT the wingnut Prejean.
Why?? offer this porn-again prejean anything??? Please!
She’s had her say! Thank you!
I dont want to hear from or about that hefer anymore. I love the comparison of her and Anita Baker. People loke that will always expose themslves for the fools that they truly are eventually.
Do they think showing a 30 second clip will improve there waitings sorry NO GO!
I dont watch & this wont change my mind that its outdated & beyond BORING!!!!
It is a meaningless and hollow offer: “…the pageant’s executive director, says he would give Prejean the same amount of time if she wanted to provide a pre-taped message.”
