(Beverley Hills, California) Officials of the Miss California USA pageant have strongly criticized titleholder Carrie Prejean but say it’s not their decision whether she should be stripped of her crown.
Co-executive directors Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler told a Beverly Hills press conference Monday that only Miss USA pageant owner Donald Trump can make that decision.The 21-year-old San Diego native created controversy during the Miss USA pageant when she said she believes marriage should only be between a man and a woman.
The state pageant has been investigating whether she violated her contract by making public appearances with groups opposed to same-sex marriage. Prejean also failed to reveal that she once posed in her underwear.

Carrie Prejean – thanks to homophobe Donald Trump – has decided that she WILL keep her crown. Single-handedly invalidating and credibility for the organization. Gotta hand it to Donald, nobody undermines him the way he himself does.
Oh, Donald . . . Please, please, please do the right thing and FIRE this so-called Miss America nobody. Strip her of her crown and give it to some nice gay boy who oh, so deserves it.
While I agree with Morgan that contracts are important, the fact remains that this is a lawless nation. Not only did Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonsales, Yoo and others illegally order and facilitate the use of torture, but Obama thinks they should get off scott free.
So in the scheme of things, this bimbo gets to run around the state getting heckled and pied for a year.

If Carrie Prejean had violated the terms of her Miss California contract multiple times, it has to be a no-brainer to tell her the sections and paragraphs she violated and such is not permissible and on that basis, she would and should be dismissed and her contract be terminated in her case.
This just sends the wrong message that people can violate a contract and not expect to suffer consequences. Very unfair to those who take great care to follow the rules and do what is expected of them.
Only Donald Trump can strip her of the crown? Well kiss that idea goodbye. He’s not exactly the most moral person around. Plus, all the hype has lifted the profile of his lame Miss USA pageants, competitor to the Miss American pageants. Higher profile, bigger $$$ take, and that’s what the Donald is all about.
