Al Franken, certified, should have been sworn in as the new Minnesota senator last Tuesday. Burris, not certified, was. Allowing the minority Republican thugs in Congress the chance to keep Franken out is the result of the constantly weak Democrat leadership of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, both foolishly and constantly bowing to the GOP thinking bi-partisanship with the GOP will work. It won't and hasn't since Everett Dirksen. The Dems need to replace Reid. As for Pelsosi she has already been re-elected. Too bad.
