A man hospitalized after a raid at a Fort Worth gay bar says he’s still nursing injuries from the incident now that he’s home.
Chad Gibson had bruises, muscle strain and bleeding in his brain after his arrest more than a week ago on suspicion of public intoxication at the Rainbow Lounge.Police have said the 26-year-old injured himself when he fell and hit his head. Witnesses say officers slammed him into the wall and floor and tackled other patrons who were arrested that night.
Police say some of the bar patrons made sexual gestures toward the officers and allege Gibson grabbed a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission officer’s groin. In interviews after his release from the hospital Sunday, Gibson denied groping the officer.
This could happen in any city,large or small.
um im 15 ca you all explain this to me why would they just raid a bar for no fucking reason…? was there a reason? and poor chad i know thats wrong and if they just did it becase they hate gays then im picking up a knife and huntin becuse they obviously dont see justice maybe this might give them the right to arrest me.

The victims of this homophobic police attack should sue the living devil out of the Fort Worth Police Dept. and ensure that all of the lying Police and ABC officers involved get fired.
There is a systemic problem in the United States with police agencies regarding the level of violence used against citizens who are by and large law abiding, productive and tax paying. A bad attitude or some confrontational words should not end up with your head being slammed into a concrete wall or a seventy year old granny being tasered half a dozen times because she doesn’t want to sign the speeding ticket. But this government wants us to obey at all times, immediately and without resistance. Good passive resistance is keeping your mouth shut and going about your business when it safe to do so. When dealing with an officer of the law it is best to comply, cut your loses and the potential for bodily harm.. If your rights are violated, present this evidence later in court. The time to fight for your rights is not when dealing with an officer. The time to fight for your rights is in court. Dealing with America for what it truly is, rather than what we have been taught that it is or what we think it should be is a far more prudent course of action that will see you with less court dates and fines and all of your teeth intact.
CYA. Cover Your A** by lying and blaming the victim to protect their own reputations. Do we think there will be a full and unbiased investigation in a Texan city. HAH! Think again. Good ole boy system! The police especially down there will be believed any day over a gay man’s word!
I want to know there is any confirm information about the law enforcement officers that he show his homophobia when raid the bar. And what the hell they are thinking about raid gay bar on Stonewall Event. It would be similar to raid the Irish Pub on St. Patrick and foul up the evening. Law Enforcement officers have no respect to other people’s festival cultures. Give us a RESPECTABLE!!!!!
What a coincidence this happened on the anniversary of Stonewall, which the police expect us to believe they knew nothing about.(SARCASM).

I guess 40 years after Stonewall, this still goes on, especially in the state of Texas. I’m glad though that a lot of people will know about it, and Chad Gibson will know that he has a lot of friends and people pulling for him.

What gay person would grab a uniformed police officer’s groin! Their excuse is pathetic.

This is such a no brainier, the whole department should be replaced,sued, and prosecuted.

The police lie. I am very glad that Chad is recovering. I wish him a full and speedy recovery. I also hope he has a good lawyer who will make the city compensate him for his pain and suffering.
