Police Records are public records and available to any citizen as soon as they are filed. Where are the quotes from the police records? Who interviewed the police officer? Where are the quotes from the police officer?

Denver is, on the whole, a welcoming place and relatively tolerant. But, there are still jerks around and we have our share. Sometimes they even come down from the mountains with gunracks...and guns...in their pick 'em up trucks.

I was with a friend at the concert who got a bit carried away at times. He even took off his shirt at one point. The straight couple in front of us did not appreciate his enthusiasm, or his public "nudity" and complained to the usher.

But that was the extent of it.

I'd have to say I was not as thrilled with the concert as I'd hoped. But, I'm not an over-the-top Madonna fan, anyway.

There is something called live show etiquette, even if you are in a big and loud event where you are supposed to be loud and wild. If they were screaming when they shouldn't, if they were talking when they shouldn't, when everyone was trying to enjoy the show then I have no complains about that. Same when you go to the movies and people are just loud.

Saying that they were ejected because they were gay is really, really hard for me to visualize. I mean, did the hordes of wild and straight fans made fun of their gayness to the tune of La isla bonita? I just don't buy it. There has to be more. I've been to many concerts and one thing is dance, have fun, scream. But some people are really fucking annoying and I've been close to call security because they are just way too loud. Sure you sing and scream, when the moment is appropiate, but having this loaded and high queens ruinning the night with their obnoxiousness, fuck that. Some people paid good money for the show and in this enonomic times. I don't know the whole story but the claim that someone was kicked out of a madonna concert for being gay??? Yeah, nice try.

In '92, my then partner and I were harassed for me having my arm around his shoulder at an Indigo Girls concert in South-Eastern Massachusetts. I saw Emily Saliers at a gay softball tournament the next year, chatted briefly with her, shared the anecdote, and she was shocked. "At OUR concert?!"

Yep.

how did he hear them say some homophobic remark UNDER THEIR BREATH while they were siting IN FRONT of them at a CONCERT? dont you think it would be a bit loud to hear them say somthing? its a concert, people scream and the singer is blasting their music. and when someone is facing away from you it makes it harder to hear what they are saying expecialy when its under their breath. I think theres more to this story, theres too many things that do not seem right.

Concerts attract everyone, even psychos. I wonder who works security in such venues -- are they properly trained or rejects from small town police departments? And it seems like a piece is missing from the puzzle because the story doesn't make sense.

I occasionally have some good interactions with police.

Most I've had to deal with have been calm, polite and professional.

I had one pet-owning policeman very pleased that I rescued a kitten that kept running into the street and narrowly miss each time being hit by a car.

I know a gay policeman named Brett and everyone likes him. Some uf us gays call him by his first name. He is in our local gay newspaper sometimes. Our local gay men's group is friends with Pat a lesbian senior who was a DC cop. Nicest person with the police I've met. I recently sold her a cat mat for cats that I knitted on request from her.

Some of the ones I've met here and there are calm, cheerful people willing to give road directions to me when I am not sure of my map, etc.

Wait. did it take this situation for Schroeder to realize that cops are bully fascist bastards? Seriously? Had he never been treated poorly by a cop before? I'm glad he went this long w/o issue with the police. They don't call cops pigs for nothing. And the gay/lesbian cops are the worst, they will do anything for their breeder brethren. It's like black cops beating up black kids for the white cops to enjoy. Law enforcement is made up of all those people that hate us. What else are those people going to do?
The gay couple involved seemed to take it like champs? WHY? Why didn't you really act up? Seems we are in times of mutiny. Let's get going with it already!!! Things need to get way more radical.
