Hello, I am new to this sight and being openly gay in general, my name is rose, and I am an eighteen year old gay woman.

Okay now that the introduction is done,I’ll comment on the article.

I wonder how this will turn out,I’m a bit optimistic. Sadly there no gay marriage in Delaware. Ah,maybe some day.

I just hope that there will be NO hanging chads or any other kind of dispute in this vote. But I would expect to hear from the big-mouth religious nut right to dispute the results. And this is just because they refuse to loose fairly. ’nuff said for now

Y’know, to take the detour for a moment, my biggest complaint about this site is that it isn’t updated over weekends and holidays. Maybe the revenue stream doesn’t accomodate that. Yet. It is what it is, that’s no justification for attacking the site.

Back in Maine, maybe it’s just me, but I read about Philip Spooner, or students at a university campus, and I feel the hair stand up on my arms. These are people who are getting tired of those who try to divide. They don’t like it. It’s not them. We will win this fight. I’m not making any projection about the outcome tomorrow (official results might not be posted til Weds or later), but I don’t have to forecast that the old homophobia is dying fast. There’s proof all around. In some ways, Maine is a microcosm of a lot of the US, because when you start framing the argument in terms of laws that intrude on the bedroom or the family room–when people get that, a lot of them get angry. Let the bigotry show itself for the ugly intrusion it is, and we will win.

You know I hate to break everyone’s precious nostalgia for the old days, but AP feed has always been standard fair on this site. I’ve been reading it since ’99 and the only thing that has changed in their content is that they have more blogger opinion content now. Amazingly that actually counts as “original words”. This particular article doesn’t have anything original, but if you look around the bloggers have indeed been talking about what’s going on in Maine. Wither’s has touched on it, if you do a quick search you will notice there were a couple big posts last week.

You may not like the quality of the content being posted on this site, and it’s certainly legitimate to discuss specific problems, but this particular complains is just based on blatant falsehood.

Similarly the bit about not offending the straights? Have you read any of Wither’s lovely posting about how “some straights” are such terrible people. Like putting “some” in his description negates the fact that he’s single out hets as somehow evil. Yeah, if this site is putting that much work into not offending the hets then they’re doing a pretty lousy job of it.

How sad and how disappointing is 365-Gay.com since Logo took it over!

One of the most important votes in history for this web site’s constituency (Maine), and 365-Gay cannot spare a single original word on the topic.

All it offers is a rehash of yesterday’s AP story.

Ladies and Gentlemen: this site is pathetic.
