Joshua, I can correctly assume that you are a card carrying member of the American Branch of the Christian Taliban. As such you should be able to enlighten all of us as to what your basis is that allows you make any comments regarding the creation of souls. And please don’t refer to that tacky mythical book called the bible. If you are going to do that then I suggest you limit yourself to what Jesus is claimed to have said ONLY. Sad thing for you in doing that is your comments will be very limited!

How is opposing perversion shameful? And why are people so shameless? There is a reason why two men cannot naturally produce children. It’s against the natural order of things. It’s sad that mankind worships self, money and sex while compromising and writing off truth. Man and woman were created for each other. Feelings are not the authority over mankind. Truth is.

In clarification of my last comment I just want to add that not all religious groups/churches are against us – not by a long shot. I just went to RI Pride and Metropolitan Community Church was there and the Unitarian’s had one of the largest parade contingents to boot. They’re good people, they’re part of our community, and we should stand by them no matter what our religious – or anti-religious – affiliation. Happy Pride, all!

Oh heaven help us! I condemn the intrusion of Roman Catholicism into politics anywhere, anytime. One thing Mainers should point out: an outside firm coming in to help run a campaign in Maine! This always works here in AZ, no matter what the subject is. Keep the faith to those who oppose these right-wing bigots in sheeps’ clothing!

Engaging out-of-state lobbyists was a big mistake for the anti-marriage forces in VT, NH, and ME this year so it’s GREAT news that they still haven’t learned their lesson. I hope New England will continue to be a sinkhole for many an anti-marriage group’s resources. If only we could bleed them dry so you don’t have to listen to them in your home towns…

The pro-marriage side has had so many victories in the region in part because we didn’t sling mud. We stated our case repeatedly with honesty, emotion, and dignity. Enough of us are out, that the more outrageous the anti- folks became, the more they upset the locals who didn’t like hearing lies about their children/coworkers/friends, etc. While the conservative churches irk me to no end, be advised that everything you throw at them will diminish our position. It’s complicated to explain, but suffice to say it’s just northern New England culture. Please save the tax exemption repeal efforts until after this is all over – then by all means have at it!

Right now, we should sign up to help Equality Maine and make our political donations somewhere they’ll do some good.

One thing for sure we should have all learned from Prop 8 it that we can NEVER be complacent with our rights. We stop paying attention to what the ACT (American Christian Taliban) is up to then we LOSE! plain and simple!

This is why leaving it up to each state to say ya, or nay. Is Bull. Can you just think when a Governor is changed. You can be married one moment and not the next. What a real crack of shit. This is why the Federal Goverment needs to pass the law, making all citzens equal rights. No more state by state Bull. The sooner people wake up, get your head out of the sand. How many more states will give us the right, then take it away. It is time to stand up, March on Washington and demand EQUAL RIGHTS for all. If we don’t have the same rights, why are we paying taxes.
