To my mind it's certainly not enough of a financial punishment to carry any significance. A multi-million dollar settlement would have been more just, and would have acted as a strong incentive for the military to quickly clean up its act. $380,000 doesn’t seem much when you consider this woman’s chosen career path has been destroyed by military personnel acting in direct disobediance to their own guidelines, and in breach of law, let alone the suffering and distress, and no-doubt ongoing psychological issues.

To my mind it’s certainly not enough of a financial punishment to carry any significance.
