Has it occurred to y’all that there is something in between Savior and Devil? Like maybe “an imperfect yet basically good guy, who is doing the best he can, and who could use benefit of doubt because he hasn’t even entered office yet”?

Your cynicism, harshness, and righteousness are *wearing*! And I don’t think it’s going to help our community or our country in the long run.

First we need to march on Washington this year. And everyone needs to go and be counted.

Second we need the major LGBT Organization to have a national emergency Conference.

Third Stonewall Democrats need to see if there is a way to block the Tim Kaine appointment to DNC Chair.

Fourth pick a state and everybody boycott to demonstrate our dollar power. I suggest that there should be boycott of Florida. Gay days and everything. Florida is very very very dependent upon tourism. The Gay events are big events in Florida:
Freak Fest
White Party
Gay Days.

Fifth, we need to push for the 2010 census to include Sex Minorities.

There are more things we can do. But we need to start somewhere. And something big is important.

No. What we are looking for is what we voted for. And that is sorely lacking right now. This is the moment he has the most momentum. The most he will ever have as president.

On health care, he picks Gupta who is on the record against universal health care.

On gays, he picks Warren to read a prayer, a declaration or religious faith, at his historic inauguration.

He is trying to court the white evangelical. ANd to do that he screws us over. So, no, I will not give this quarter.

DAMN, I’m not saying Obama is GOD, but let the man take office!! Of course, everyone is not going to get everything they want out of this life, but we have to look towards the future. I believe in gay equal rights, but it seems like the “voters” who voted for Obama, are looking for him to mess up. Let the man get into office before you shred him into cheese. You’ve got 4 years with the upcoming president. He’ll do things wrong,(or wrong to us), he’ll mess up,(GOD forbid), but he’s a better president elect than the last one we had. A “stupid monkey” just ran all of us into the ground. Look at the economy, the ignorance, the brutality…Give the person whom you voted for a chance to lead America. Hatred only brings more HATE!

I’m in agreement with the other posters on this article, allowing her on the train does nothing for us. She is going to press him on workplace issues? What about marriage! That’s the one thing he needs a kick in the pants over…..and the thing that would change our lives the most. This changes nothing for our lives.
