Lady Gaga: Get your a** to DC

Check out this great video from Equality Across America, with our favorite rocker girl Lady Gaga explaining why everyone should go to the Equality March.

She’ll also be at the HRC Equality Dinner the night before….as will Barack Obama. I wonder what that conversation will be like.

365gay will be there too, of course. We’ll be covering Obama’s speech, the Saturday night 365gay meetup, the Sunday march and rally, all via live Twitter updates and video posts. Check back here all weekend for the latest from Jennifer Vanasco, Ali Davis and James Withers.

Does knowing  that Lady Gaga – and the cast of Hair – will be there prompt you to go?

    • Man, some of you are so snotty and bitter…

    • I totally agree with Gerry Fisher.
We decided not to participate due to the lack of organization/communication.

For some it is easy and affordable to attend, for many many of us, it is a huge sacrifice, and one we were not willing to make, in light of the lack of information and confidence this would happen successfully.

Good luck and we hope many of you attend.

    • I hope it goes well, because, of course, I care about our communities. But this whole thing just feel so half-a**ed. An activist throws out the idea a few months (oooops…forgot to check to see if the mall is booked). This PSA comes out six or so days before the march. (”Sure! I’ll drop what I’m doing and head on down to DC in a week!”)

      Oy!

I sure hope that it comes off more coherent and organized on the stage that day that it is before hand. Otherwise, we’ll look as disjointed and “mad but not clear about what we’re mad about” as the Tea Party marchers did a month ago.

    • She *is* a pop-tart. I was so disappointed to find out Lady GaGa is a *real* lady. I miss Divine…

Is it lonely up on your pedestal, Leeanne?

    • Yes, let’s give a “pop tart” a political platform and praise her for that. All the males involved are heros and brave, ga ga is a pop tart. Nice. I’m glad a bunch of straight people are getting together for the dinner. Sounds quaint. Sounds like their usualy saturday night.

    • It would be funny as hell if she put Obama on the spot re: DOMA and DADT. When a pop-tart can call you out on policy, you know it’s time to rethink your approach.
